Can I purchase a plan before I travel?

Yes, you can. But, before purchasing in advance, note the following:

  • Your plan will activate when your device connects to a network in a location covered by the plan.
  • If you purchase a Cruise Plan, World Plan or a Regional Plan that covers your current location, your plan will activate when you download and install the eSIM. The plan expiration timer will then start counting down. If your plan activates early, please contact GigSky Customer Support at help@gigsky.com.

To purchase a plan for your travel destination:

  1. Log into the GigSky app.
  2. Enter the name of the destination country in the search field.
  3. Tap the country from the list of search results.
  4. The plans available for that country will be shown. This may include Country plans, Regional plans, and World plans. If more than one type of plan is available, you can reveal the cards for each type of plan by swiping left and right.
  5. Tap the plan you want to buy. If the plan will not work in your current location, you will be prompted to confirm that you want to continue with the purchase.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. Enter a promo code, if you have one, and make sure that the correct payment method has been selected.
  8. Tap Buy Plan.

If you have not already downloaded and installed a GigSky eSIM, you will be taken through the eSIM download process.
