Getting Started : Using GigSky on Apple Dual SIM iPhones

iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, XS, XS Max, or XR with eSIM. An eSIM is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical nano-SIM. 

eSIM on iPhone is not offered on Chinese model phones, Chinese model phones can use the GigSky  physical SIM.  The GigSky eSIM will work on non-Chinese model dual SIM iPhones in China. 

What you need

  • An unlocked iPhone XS, or  iPhone XS Max with iOS 13.0 or later
  • GigSky App V4.5.2 or later

What you DON'T need

  • Do not need a QR code
  • Do not need an activation code
  • Roaming should not be turned On

Your first Purchase

  1. Go to the App Store and download the GigSky app                        mceclip0.jpg
  2. Select Allow to let the GigSky app use your location services
  3. Select Allow to let the GigSky app send notifications (this is required to send you information when your data plan is running low)                                                                             IMG-2228.JPG
  4. Use the app to purchase a cellular plan
  5. Open the app
  6. Select the data plan you would like to purchase (by default, the App opens the data plans for the current location, to change destination, select Change, then search for your destination and select the plan desired)
  7. elect Buy Now
  8. Select Buy Plan (if you have a Promo Code, this is where to enter the code)
  9. If you are not already a GigSky customer, you will need to create an account
  10. If you are a GigSky customer, you can just sign on to your GigSky account
  11. Customize Plan Label - select Copy Label And Proceed                                                               LPA_1.png
  12. Select Continue
  13. Select Continue
  14. Select Add Cellular Plan
  15. Select Secondary
  16. Go down to Custom Label and paste the label copied earlier and select Donedefault_line_cellular_data.jpg
  17. Select Continue
  18. You will be presented with a Default Line screen; this will set default line for your phone line, Select your Primary line, then select Continue                           Default_line.png
  19.  You will be presented with a screen to Add to iMessage, FaceTime, Apple ID, select the GigSky eSIM label previously created, select Continue.           imessage.png 

  20. Select the eSIM label previously created if you want to use the GigSky data service immediately* (never turn on Allow Cellular Data Switching)    celllar_data_no_switch.png

     

    To confirm your GigSky Plan is working, go to Settings - > Cellular and check your Cellular Data usage at the top of the page, the customer label you created when purchasing the plan should be selected for use.

    You can also pull down from the top right of the screen to see the Control Center, on the top left of the Control Center will show your Primary SIM and your GigSky eSIM with cellular signal strength.

    * If you do not wish to use the data plan immediately, select your Primarly line (to turn on the GigSky data later, need to go to Settings -> Cellular/Mobile and Turn on the eSIM in the Plans section and select the eSIM to be used in the Data section) 

    ****NOTE:  DO NOT DELETE YOUR ESIM WITHOUT CONTACTING GIGSKY SUPPORT
