Will the data speed of my Unlimited Plan be reduced at any time? Is it throttled?
What we mean by data being "unlimited" is that you won't run out of data for the period of the plan you purchased. In other words, you won't lose access to the internet until your plan expires - after 7 days for a 7-day plan, after 15 days for a 15-day plan, and so on.
When it comes to the speed of that data, fair usage policies are implemented to allow all users of our service to have fair use of our network’s capacity. Customers using high-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, online gaming or file sharing will see that their data speeds are reduced after exceeding a certain amount of daily usage, currently 2.5 GB. Even at these reduced speeds, you will still be able to perform less data-intensive tasks, such as sending and receiving emails and making VOIP voice calls.
The speed restriction is removed every 24 hours, starting from the time the plan is activated. So, if your plan is activated at 7 AM on day 1 and you use enough data to have the data speed restricted, the original data speed will be restored at 7 AM on day 2, and so on for the duration of your plan.
