Usually, to scan a QR code, you would display it on another device or print it out and then scan it using your camera app, but you can't do that if you only have one device.
Android devices allow you to scan a QR code from an image saved to your camera roll without installing any extra apps. From Apple iOS 17.4, it's possible to scan a QR code from an email.
iOS devices (iOS 17.4 or later)
- Open the email containing your QR code.
- Touch and hold the QR code in the email.
- Tap Add eSIM.
- Tap Continue at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Add Cellular Plan.
