An Essentials Plan is a GigSky eSIM plan that gives you access to selected apps for everyday needs, such as messaging, navigation, email, and translation. It's available with GigSky Cruise plans.
When purchasing a Cruise or Cruise + Land plan, you can choose between two options:
Fixed Data Plan: Get a set amount of data for a specific period. You can use this data to access apps and services on your device.
Essentials Plan: Get access to selected apps for the number of days you need. This option is ideal if you mainly need basic services to stay connected.
Unlike a Fixed Data Plan, an Essentials Plan doesn't provide general internet access. Only the supported apps and activities listed below are included.
Which apps are included in the Essentials Plan?
1. Messaging
Supported apps: iMessage, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and Instagram.

Sending and receiving reactions

Voice and video calls
Sending or receiving voice notes and attachments
Live location sharing
Viewing stories, reels, and feeds

2. Getting Around
Supported apps: Uber, Lyft, Bolt, and DiDi.

Booking rides
Selecting ride types
Tracking drivers
Trip management
Payments, receipts, updating payment methods
❌ You can't :
Sharing ride for tracking
Package delivery, rentals
Bus tickets, extended services
3. Navigation
Supported apps: Apple Maps and Google Maps.

Searching for destinations and viewing place details
Getting directions, including routes with added stops
Using turn-by-turn navigation
Exploring nearby places

Google Ask Maps
Uploading photos
Reserving tables
Advanced real-time updates
Offline maps

4. Email
Supported apps: Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.

Sending and receiving text-only emails
❌ You can't :
Email attachments and downloads
Chat and conferencing features, including Google Meet and Microsoft Teams
Continuous background syncing
5. Translation
Supported app: iTranslate.
